Students take an assessment in ELA (English Language Arts), and  Mathematics.   

The assessments are done on a computer at the center using iXL.  iXL will determine where the gaps start in the students' knowledge and recommends a starting point. The iXL curriculum is used across the Globe and recognized in over 190 countries! Their assessments are one of a kind that gives honest feedback on students placements. See an example HERE. 

Students, parents and a school administrator will create an academic plan for the year. iXL provides real time, detailed analytics that shows, how much time a student is working, how many skills they are working on, how many skills they have mastered, and the problem areas that need additional practice. Throughout the lessons iXL adapts to the students current skill. It will give more questions and resources as needed based on what and how the student is answering questions. The program gives instant feedback on each question with show-and-tell examples and follow along instructions. 

Along with iXL's instant feedback, the analytics are available to parents at any time. Parents / guardians log in and are able to see what their students worked on each day, what is next, what they need help with, when/how long they were working on each subject and in what grade their student is operating on.

A Micro-School is a pod of students that are grouped by grade, or by family. They usually meet for 3-4 days per week at a local residence. 

At BODHI Community, we group the pods in either a combined K1 class, by grade or by family depending on the needs and requests of the families signing up. 

The Micro School curriculum is powered through Prenda. Prenda is a hybrid curriculum that has 4 learning modes. Connect, Conquer, Collaborate, and Create. Check out Prenda HERE. 

Homeschooling with BODHI Community allows Parent and Guardians to have the best of both worlds. Families may choose what they want with calendars, curriculum, clubs and more. 

Parents may choose the calendar year-round or standard. Followed by choosing the core class schedule morning or afternoon. Next, families may decide to choose what clubs they want to add to their curriculum.  If the core classes are in the morning the clubs will be in the afternoon, and if the core classes are in the afternoon, clubs would be in the morning. The curriculum may be iXL or families may bring their own. Our goal is to support you on your families homeschool plan.
